Max directed his first feature film at age 15, riding trains across the USA with a Sony DCR-TRV camcorder.
Since then, he’s directed award-winning films for clients including Mercedes-Benz EQ, Disney, Block, DoorDash and NerdWallet.
Max’s narrative work has received international acclaim at festivals including Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival, Cinequest, Stockfish Reykjavík, MSPIFF and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. His two feature films, Silicon Beach (2019), and Belle (2023) are streaming on AppleTV, Amazon Prime Video, VUDU and Google Play.
Singularly obsessed with crafting emotionally impactful storytelling regardless of the medium, Max’s ability to move fluidly between on-set director and in-house creative lead defines his strategic edge.
He loves to surf, and reads the paper every Sunday.
